Mission
Passion and heritage
We carry on our mother's legacy, Mariangeles Bravo nicknamed "La Brava": the passion that she transmitted to us in the pursuit of excellence in the selection and preparation of the best horses.

We are based in the same location in Liendo, where she started more than 50 years ago Manas de la Hoz, her professional equestrian centre, her riding school, and her summer camps which have been enjoyed by so many riders alike.
​
Valeria's passion for horses began when she was a little girl. After a successful international carreer in the fashion industry, with the support of her husband Pedro and a team of professionals, she is today devoted to her mission of making La Brava centre for excellence in breeding, natural horsemanship, and training horses.

In our philosophy the temperament of each horse and the attention to detail are our priorities
Setting
We are blessed with a mild, maritime climate and our location is easily accessible.
​
The valley of Liendo offers level fields, prairies with premium pasture all-year-round, mountain trails and the sands of the nearby beaches for comprehensive training.
​
We are located between Bilbao and Santander, only 45 minutes away from either of the two airports on highway A8.
Our Work
Mating, breeding, break in to saddle, natural horsemanship, training horses and competing national and internacional endurance races, boarding for sporting horses.
​
We ensure regular deworming treatments and vaccinations administered by vet; also regular shoeing.
​
Our live-in staff is highly qualified and very committed.

Inspiring FEI Awards 2023
The FEI Awards put a spotlight on the men, women, young people and organisations that are making an outstanding contribution to the progress and excellence of equestrian sport - in or out of the arena.

Valeria Bonfiglio has been identified into the very closed selection of a worldwide 4 competitors in the inspire category in all the equestrian community. This includes jumping, dressage, eventing, volting, endurance, para equestrian, dressage, driving and reining !!!!
Stallion
Eminem Mandorlati
Eminem Mandorlati, is a purebred Arabian stallion of extraordinary beauty and a height of 15.6 hands. He was born in Australia (2013) and he has been featured on the front cover of Australian Arabian Horse News. He debuted at the prestigious morphology show VAHA, where he won in all the categories 2 first places, 2 Champions, 2 Supreme Champions. He was shown in Canberra at ACT National show where he won "Supreme Champion purebred" and subsequently, at East Coast championship he achieved a place in the top 5 yearling Colt class.
His character is of astounding nobility , his movements very balanced and agile with a lively and energetic gait.
His sire Gai el Jullyen is the legendary Northamerican stallion who was Champion of Champions in Scottsdale ( Arizona) winning the Champion Yearling class. At the East Coast Championship show in Australia he won the Senior Champion Stallion. He is in bloodline with El Shaklan (1975) acclaimed and known for the most prized stallion in Europe and in the United States.Gai el Jullyen has fathered winners in endurance races of 80,100 and 160 kms.

Available for the breeding season. Mating with natural cover ( mandatory Metritis and arteritis viral tests ).

Facilities
Large stables, separate boxes for stallion, indoor and outdoor arenas, paddocks, fodder storage, saddle room and Club House.
Indoor Stalls
32 individual indoor horse stalls. Our indoor stalls feature high-grade chip bedding, concrete feeders and automatic water troughs. Designed for the horse's comfort, our indoor stalls are 3.50 X 3.10 meters.
Paddocks
5 large paddocks for individual or multiple horses. Our fenced outdoor stalls with grass or concrete soil are connected to the grazing fields.
Pastures
Extensive grazing fields for horses to relax, feed and run freely.
Dressage & Practice Arenas
Outdoor and covered sand dressage and practice arenas.
Showers
2 horse showers conveniently located in close proximity of indoor stalls and paddocks.
Club House
When the day is over we can discuss and comment on the day's trainings or races here, while a barbecue is sizzling.

At the Jockey Club we treasure the memories of the good times and all our friends and horses.
